THEnergy prepares launch of platform for "Renewables on Islands"

Draft of plant databse available now.

A draft database of renewable energy applications on islands has been launched: http://www.th-energy.net/english/platform-renewable-energy-on-islands/database-solar-wind-power-plants/


There is a huge number of plants; for sure, we have forgotten quite a lot.

 

We are applying the folowing criteria:

  • wind or solar installations
  • 200 kWp or more
  • main focus: hotels / resorts, rural electrification, private islands
  • so far there is no strict definition for an islands, but countries such as Japan or Great Britain would not qualify

Top 5 Hybrid Energy News (Solar- and Wind-Diesel-Hybrid + Microgrids) – Spring 2019 by THEnergy

The new edition of our “Top 5 Hybrid Energy News” features four projects and a partnership announcement. Interestingly all microgrid projects included an energy storage solution.
